Well, Li Hung Chang ” “ Excuse me, sir, but the ‘ Telegraph’ says Li Chung Tang.” The spectacled gentleman looked annoyed at the interruption. He resumed: “Li Chung— —” “ Tang, the ‘ Chronicle’ says,” suggested another. “Thanks. Well, I hear that Li Tang Hung ” “What sort of a chap is this Li Hing Tung?” “Li Tang Hing, you mean. Oh, Li Bang Jing is a tall, yellow- ” “ Beggin’ yer pardin, mister,” said a labouring man in the corner, “ is it Li Tung Bung ver a-talkin’ about?” The “pale gentleman in goggles got disgusted, lost all patience, and shouted for the ’bus to stop. “I’m going homo!” he said wildly, “Good day, friends. I’m going home!” A'a he stood on the kerbstone, mopping his forehead with a blue silk-bo rd or ej handkerchief, a newsboy rushed up. “ Rumoured death of Li Jam Sling!
