Expensive Opium.

Wellington, August 21. William Alfred Masters, commercial traveller, who arrived from Sydney by the Moeraki yesterday, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with having in his possession 100 tins of opium, valued at about /300. He was fined £IOO and an order was made for the forfeiture of the opium.
