Presentation to the Premier.

Wellington, June 15.

It is understood that is is intended to postpone the presentation of the birthday memorial to Mr Seddon until after Mr Ward’s reception, and that in addition to an address to the Premier, it is proposed to present Mrs Seddon with a thousand sovereigns. Later. A deputation waited on the Premier this afternoon in connection with the proposed postponement of the representation to him till after Mr Ward’s return, and it was agreed to postpone the presentation of the album. The deputation stated that it was proposed to present Mrs Seddon with a purse of a thousand guineas, as a token of appreciation of her husband’s public services, and that Auckland, Christchurh, Dunedin and Nelson residents had expressed a desire to participate in the testimonial.
