MAHAKIPAWA.
HANDSOME RETURN.
210 OUNCES FOR FOUR WEEKS
WORK.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Cullensville, June 10.
The King Solomon mine started on Monday last to clean their main bottom and finished the same with the handsome return of 1940z5, and still have good gold to start. They made a start to drive down creek again last night. This makes 210ozs for four weeks work. The gold is a fine sample, including several one, two, and four ounce pieces. Out of the 100 ft of ground now being worked down creek from their main shaft over 700ozs of gold has been won. They are at present working in front of Law’s hotel. Their new fluming and wheel is now finished with the exception of the two connecting-rods which are being built. This speaks well for the flat, and we hope soon to see some more enterprising companies make a start.
The creek claims are all under water excepting the Boys’ Own, which obtained 2ozs for the last week’s work.
