Acceptance, with 3 sovs., on-Saturday, 17th October, and a final payment of 2 sovs. at post. Start at 2 p.m. 3. Hurdle RyceHandicap,of6o sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. Distance, 2 miles. Nomination of 1 sov. on 26th September. Weights will be declared on Monday, 12th October. Acceptance, with 2 sovs., on Saturday, 17th October. Start at 2.45 p.m, 4. Entrance 2 sovs. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received tor any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 sovs. which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not. sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, not later than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. Nominations, bearing post mark of specified dates, will be received. General entry night, Saturday, 17th October, 1885. The rules and weights of the Poverty Bay Turf Club, as in force at the date of the meeting, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Any Subscriber drawing a horse in any list will be allowed, if he so desires it, to invest in the following list any sum not exceeding Four Pounds, without remitting any further cash, this amount to be ultimately deducted from prize money. No. 1 Now Open. Application by letter only, enclosing two stamps, with exchange on cheques, or by money order, bank notes, or drafts. Registered letters or telegrams will not on any account _bs received. If bank notes arc sent, please use two envelopes, one scaled and placed inside the other. P.O. Orders preferred when procurable.
