Rowley was brought up charged with being concerned in the “ sticking up ” case at Ormond, and remanded, bail being allowed, prisoner in Ltoo and two securities in L5O. Mr. Cresswell appeared for the defence.

The Strasburg Clock will be on view for the last time to-day when an exhibition will be given from two till five, and from seven tn nine. Al! those who have not seen this most wonderful invention should certainly avail themselves of this last opportunity of witnessing this marvel of mechanism.

A circumstance of a very unusual character took place at the County Council meeting on Thursday last. The report of a public officer (upon the stone question) appeared in a public print, and was laid on the Council table fully two hours before the report was laid before, or either read, orpassed by the public body to which it was directed. We should like to know by whose authority this was done, and think that the attention of the Council should be called to this flagrant breach of their authority.
