Spring Handicap, of 120 sovs.; second horse to receive 20 sovs. from the stakes. Distance, 1) miles. Nomination of 1 sovs. on the 26th of Sepember. Weights will be declared on Monday, 12th October. Acceptance, with 3 sovs., on Saturday, 17th October, and a final payment of 2 sovs. at post. Start at 2 p.m. 3. Hubdle Race Handicap, of 60 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stakes. Distance, 2 miles. Nomination of 1 sov. on 26th September. Weights will bo declared on Monday, 12th October’. Acceptance, with 2 sovs., on Saturday, 17lh October. Start at 2.45 p.m, 1. Handicap Hack Huedias Race, of 10 sovs. For all hacks that have not been trained for this meeting. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 1 sov, to close at 1 p.m. day of race. Start at 3.30 p.m. 5. Flying Handicap, of 50 sovs; distance J mile. Nomination of 1 sov., Saturday, 26th September, 1885. Weights will be declared Monday, 12th October. Acceptance, 2 sovs., Saturday, 17th October. Start at 4 p.m. 6. Handicap Hack Flat Race of 10 sovs; distance 1 mile. Entrance 1 sov., to close at 3 p.m. day of race. For all hacks that nave net been trained for this meeting. Start at 4.80 p.m. 7. Fobced Handicap of 25 sovs.; 1 mile and a distance. Losers and hacks optional. Entrance 2 sovs. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will bo received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of u sovs. which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. i All nominations, entries, acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, not latex than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. Nominations, bearing post mark of specified dates, will be received. General entry night, Saturday, 17111 October, 1885. The rales and weights of the Poverty Bey Turf Club, as in force at the date of the meeting, will bo strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will bo deducted Lorn the gross amount of all stakes. Any Subscriber drawing a horse in any list will be allowed, if he so desires it, to invest in the following list any sum not exceeding Four Pounds, without remitting any further cash, this amount to be ultimately deducted from prize money.
