(own correspondent.) London, Sept. 13. It is asserted in Madrid that Germany has occupied other important islands belonging to Pelew, Carolines, Marshal and the Gilbert Group. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ship the Douglas, from London to Auckland, encountered most unusual heavy weather coming down the channel, rendering it necessary to put into Falmouth for repairs. September 14.
A German General has been arrested on a charge of spying at Belfourt, a strong town of France, in the departmeot of the same name, and has been conducted to the frontier.
Suakim Sept. 14. A number of rebels made their appearance in this neighborhood to-day. Troops were despatched to disperse hem, and in the skirmish four rebels were killed.
Paris, Sept. 14. The re-inforcement of 4,000 men who were despatched to Madagascar have arrived and Admiral Miot has now resumed the offensive operations against the Horas. Constantinople, Sept. 15. Sir Henry Drummond Wolffe, Envoy extraordinary, to the Porte, had four meetings with the officials appointed by the Sultan to confer with him on the Egyptian question, but so far no definite result has been obtained.
Cairo,- Sept. 10. It is currently reported here that Said Pasha, Grand Vizor of Turkey, has been ordered by the Sultan to visit Egypt, but the news had not been officialy confirmed.
