KAHUTIA COMPETITION DAN BARRY FOURS Tire ninth round of the Dan Barry Memorial Fours competition was played on the Kahutia bowling green on Saturday. With only two more rounds to be decided, the games have reached an interesting stage, especially as a number ol' teams stand a chance to lift the trophy. Saturday’s games resulted: — McKessar 24 v. Lane 17. Jenkins 23 v. Newton 11. Fischbach 24 v. Downey 15. Watt 10 v. Dudfield 15. Somervell 24 v. Jackson 15. Holland 25 v. Rothwell 15. GISBORNE CLUB TOURNEY NASMITH’S RINK WINS The final of the Gisborne Bowling Club’s open rink tournament was played during the week-end, when Jenson, Horne, Armstrong and Nasmith (s) defeated Surgenor, Watson, McCulloch and G.
