R.A.F. UNIT DISBANDED LONDON, March 12. The March Air Force list shows that the Long Range Development Unit has been disbanded and that Wing-Com-mander O. R. Gayford, commanding officer of the unit, and the other officers have been transferred to another station. The three Vickers-Wellesley bombers comprising the unit broke the Rushan long-distance record of 630(3 miles, in a flight from Egypt last November. Two bombers flew non-stop to Darwin, a distance of 7162 miles, and the third non-stop to Koepang, ; 6600 miles. 1 j
