NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT TOKOMARU (IATHERINC! ma ENTRY AND KEEN PLAY (Special to tho Herald.) TOKOMARU BAY, this day. The annual New Year lawn tennis tournament on the East Coast is being Meld at Tokomaru Bay this year, and is being favoured by perfect weather. Tihe tournament is being conducted toy the Tokomaru Bay Tennis Club. A big entry came forward, and the courts are occupied from 9 a.m. until 7 a.m. each day so as to enable the games to be played in good time. The largest crowd ever seen on the courts have witnessed some very keen games, one of the best being be'ween R. Richardson and R. H. Jackman in the men's champion singles. The latter led at first, then it was match at 6-all, but Richardson took the next three to win 9—G.
