YOUNG PLANE TRAVELLER
FEW-HOUR-OLD BABY (Par Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Born prematurely at 5 o'clock this morning on the Great Barrier Island, a baby left by aeroplane at 7.30 and bv 8.30 a.m. was nestling in a temper-ature-controlled cot in the Karitane Hospital, Auckland. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Connell. Clevedon, were on holiday.
In response to a telephone call from the island, a doctor left Auckland by plane at 3.30 a.m. It was decided that the child needed special care in Auckland, and the doctor left the mother at the island as she was doing well. The baby, wrapped in cotton wool and enclosed comfortably in a hessian mailbag, arrived safely at Auckland-
