TENNIS CHAMPION HURT
MISS BEVERLEY INJURED OUT OF N.Z. TOURNEY (Pur Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. AlisH Margaret Beverley, of Matamata, the champion woman tennis player of New Zealand suffered injuries to her right forearm when a car in which she was travelling skidded and went, over a. bank in attempting to pass another ear on a hill between Charteris Bay and Aliandale on Sunday. She was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 8.45 p.m. Several stitches were inserted in her right wrist and she was suffering considerably from shock through her condition is not at all serious. She will l>e unable Vj participate further in the New Zealand tennis championship tournament.
