TRAPPED IN FIRE
LOSS OF SIX LIVES MOTHER AND CHILDREN TRAGEDY IN CANADA FRANTIC RESCUE EFFORTS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed Dec. 31, 2.30 p.m.) WINNIPEG, Dec. 30. A mother and five children, the family of Leslie Robson, a fuel merchant, perished as u result of being trapped in their beds by a fire which destroyed the home. Mr. Robson and his eldest son were badly burned and are jn a critical condition after jumping from the windows into the snow in their night -ittir*.

Neighbours were aroused by cries and ''ound Mr. Robson barefooted in the mow, desperately struggling with a ladder and shrieking: "For God's sake Savy my children." The neighbours were unable to enter the building, which was then a blazing inferno.
