ARREST OF ALL REBELS
MARSHAL CHIANG'S ORDER RXTREME PUNISHMENT (Rec. Jan. 3, 12.30 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Jan. 2. It is reported that Marshal Chiang-Kai-Shek has ordered the arrest of the Minister of Communications, Peng Hsueh-Pei, for providing an aeroplane for the escape of Wang Ching-Wei. An official communique orders the arrest of all rebels, for whom extreme punishment is promised. This is interpreted as applying to Wang ChingWei.
