COMPETITION KEEN SUPPORT FROM JAPAN (Reed. Nov. 3, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 2. At the wool sales to-day 11,496 bales were offered and 10,680 were sold at auction. Also 1317 were disposed of privately. Competition was very keen with good support from Japan. Greasy Merino made 21d. SHEEPSKIN SALE PRICES IN DUNEDIN The fortnightly sheepskin sale was ■held in Dunedin on Tuesday, when small catalogues were offered to a full bench of buyers. Competition was keen at limits which had been reduced at least a halfpenny from last sale. Following is the range of prices:— Hallbred. three-quarter to full-wool, 9d lo 9]d; half-wool, 7Jd to 8d; quarter-, wool. 51 d to 53d. . Fine crossbred, three-quarter to full-wool, BJd to 8.3 d; half-wool, 6Jd to 7.1 d; quarter-wool, 5.’,d. Crossbred, three-quarter to fullwool, 8d to BJd; half-wool, Gjd to Gjd; quarter-wool, 43d to 53d. Halfbred hogget, B,RI to Bjd. Fine crossbred hogget, Bld. Crossbred hogget, 7Jd to B.',d. Crossbred, dead, Gjd to 6.3 d. Fine crossbred, dead, 63d to 7d. Halfbred, dead, 7kl to Bd. Halfbred lambs, Gjd to 73d. Crossbred lambs, 6.1 d to Gjd. First pelts, 3Jd to 4d. Second pelts, 3d to 33d.
