Mr. F. Keeley, publicity manager for R.K.0.-Radio Films, Limited, arrived in Gisborne last evening in connection witli the New Zealand premiere of the Disney film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” The premiere is to take place next week.
Chief Judge R. N. Jones, of the Native Land Court bench, arrived in Gisborne last evening from the north, on court business. He will remain here until Saturday, when he will proceed to Hastings, en route to his headquarters at Wellington. Mr. K. W. Cooper left by 'plane this morning for Palmerston North to represent the Gisborne district at a meeting of the Wellington district council of the Young Farmers’ Club Federation to-morrow. Mr. Cooper is chairman of the Gisborne Young Farmers’ Club and ex-chairman of the Poverty Bay district, council. Two other delegates from Gisborne were unable to travel. They were Mr. G V. Smith, senior delegate, and Mr. G. W. Smith, chairman of the Poverty Bay district committee.
