CHILD REFUGEES
LOCAL FUND CLOSED The sum of £l4l 17s 3d has been raised in Gisborne for the relief of Chinese and Spanish war refugee children and the list which has been opened by the Gisborne Borough Council Office for the last few months, was closed to-day. The amounts donated were £B3 4s 3d to the Chinese fund, and £SB 13s to the Spanish. No additional donations have been received lately for the Spanish children, but the concluding gifts to the f’himwp fund were as under:—
