GISBORIE PARK CLUB MEDAL ROUND Members of the Gisborne Park Golt Club will compete in a medal round on Saturday. Owing to many members having started playing summer sports it has been decided not to make a draw, but to ask players to arrange their own partners. The club's season will close on October 23, and members are asked to arrange their partners for the mixed Canadian foursome, or to put their names on the list at the professional’s shop if they wish to have partners drawn for them. The challengers for the Dryland Challenge Cup this week-end are S. L. Dryland and G. L. Winter, who will play T. W. Bayliss and W. A. Hall. This is the final match of the season. Men members of the Park club will play an inter-club game with the Turanganui club on October 24. The Park team will be published next Thursday. Ladies’ Competitions The ladies’ bogey match for last week was won by Mrs. Swainson, one down. The holders.of. the. J.K-.Stare, ;Mr.s., Swainson and Miss Jelinek, were successful in retaining the Stars. As the holders and Mrs. Stratton and Miss Cox have 'retained the Stars for an equal number of times, they will now play off for the trophy and final match of the season. The draw for the Stableford bogey to be played during the week-end is as follows: —Miss R. White v. Miss J. McSJurray, Miss P. Beale v. Miss J. Bird, Miss B. Cox v. Miss A. Leslie, Miss M. Hockley v. Miss B. Williams, Miss B. Kinder v. Miss J. Armstrong; Miss P. Martin v. Miss E. Jelinek, Miss E. Wheeler v. Miss D. Ladd, Miss P. Hopps v. Miss D. Duncan, Miss P. Price v. Miss M. Roddick, Miss H. Lane v. Miss M. Dunfoy, Miss Gilman v. Miss B. Choveaux.
