PELLET IN EYE

Struck in the right eye by a pellet from an air-gun fired by a child companion while they were at play, a 13-year-old schoolgirl was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. The girl, Ethel Violet Croft, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Croft, Ponsonby. The air-gun was fired accidentally by a companion while the children were at play. She was reported to be progressing favourably, but it was not known whether there was any danger of her losing the sight of the eye.
