SEAFARERS’ SERVICE

EMPIRE BROADCAST PLAN LONDON, Oct. 4. A radio link between the Seven Seas and the Empire’s parish church will be effected when Queen Mary attends a national service of seafarers at St. Paul’s Cathedral on October 20. The Lord Mayor, Sir George Broadbridge, will attend as Admiral of the Port of London, and the Bishop of Melanesia’s ship, Southern Cross, will participate in the service, which will be broadcast on an Empire wavelength.
