Col. Frank Harris, of Bidborough, near Tunbridge Wells, who is 71, is planning to walk from Montreal to Vancouver, a distance of about 3000 miles. Wanganui’s Municipal Opera House has been reinstated after being badly damaged by fire last June. The building is now ready for use again. With the insurance money available rebuilding operations had been completed at a cost to the council of less than £4OO.
