KING AND QUEEN
VISIT TO INDIA DURBAR NEXT YEAR LONDON, Oct. 4. An announcement that the King and Queen will hold a Coronation Durbar at Delhi in December, 1938, is expected to be made in the King’s Speech, says the Sunday Times. The reassembly of Parliament has been fixed for October 26. It is anticipated that the King and Queen will spend several weeks in India. When they return from Scotland they will embark on a busy autumn programme. They will first visit Windsor and examine plans for modernising the castle. Their Majesties will also arrange for the reception of the King of the Belgians, who will make an official visit in November.
