The tone of the market was firm but investors continue to operate with caution. Sales: Bank of New South Wales, £35 12s 6d; Commercial Banking, Sydney, £22 4s; Queensland National Bank, £5 10s; Colonial Sugar, £47 10s; United Insurance, £lO 10s; Burns, Philp, South Sea, 325; British Tobacco, 50s 3d; Tooth’s, 55s 9d; Toohey’s, 33s 7Jd; G. J. Coles, £5 3s 6d; Dunlop Perdriau, 22s- 9d; Electrolytic Zinc, 5Gs; Felt and Textiles, 35s 7Jd; Kandos, 255; Mark Foy, 25s 3d; Hume Pipe, 19s (id; Victoria Nyanza, Ills 3d; W. R.
