The old water trough in front of the Royal Hotel in Gladstone road is to be removed after serving its purpose well for a long time. The licensee of the hotel, Mr. J. ,T. Martin, has requested its removal. “ The trough is unsightly and very little used," the Gisborne Borough Council's works committee reported to last night's council meeting. The committee recommended that, the trough be removed, and if found necessary later a small concrete trough might be placed in either Grey or Bright streets on the south side of Childers road.
