HOSPITALS' FLAG DAY
APPEAL FOR FUNDS AMENDED LONDON PLAN (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 2. Next Week 108 London hospitals are making a joint appeal for funds, with the experiment of conducting a single flag day, which will be Tuesday, in place of the 240 street collections which were reduced last year to 77 separate flag days. The Queen has expressed sympathy with the efforts, in which 50,000 voluntary workers will be engaged, and which, it is hoped, will bring in a contribution totalling no less than the sums realised in the separate appeals.
