RANGERS BEAT AWANUI TIKITIKI MATCH (Herald Correspondent.) Rangers .. 9pts Awanui .. 6pts Tikitiki football enthusiasts were treated to some tine play in Saturday's match between Awanui and Rangers. The score at half-time was three-all, but the final tally gave a win to Rangers by nine points to six. The game was ablv refereed bv -Mr. Walker Morete.

Koranga .. 19pts Matawai .. 3pts It was at first thought that the Matawai Rugby Football Club would have difficulty in fielding a full team, but Saturday's friendly game against Koranga. held at the school grounds, proved there were sufficient player's to till all positions. The local team is handicapped through the distance the individual members have to travel and the lack of opportunities for practice. T. Scholium potted two goals for Korangfl. and three other players scored. one try being converted. Most scored a try for Matawai. The final score was in favour of Koranga by 10 to three. ...
KOPTJAWHARA TEAMS (Herald Correspondent.) The Saturday afternoon football matches, played on the large paddock belonging to Mr. Justice Johnson, below No. 2 camp, Kopuawhara. attracting large crowds, and the local teams, .with their increased facilities for practice, are improving. They ought to give a good account of themselves as the season advances.
