KING IN NAVAL BATTLE
PART IN JUTLAND FIGHT PRAISE BY PETTY OFFICER OISREGARD OF DANGER (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. .May 1. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 30. Mr. James Moffatt, of Belfast, formerly a. petty officer in H.M.S. Collingwood, in a. letter to tlm newspapers pays a tribute to the King’s part in the battle of Jutland. “The King was stationed in the loremost turret of the Collingwood working the instruments on which depended the accuracy of the guns.” says -Mr. Moffatt. "He displayed an utter disregard for himself. lie put every ounce of Ins manhood into his duty.” Mr. Moffatt adds that he is sure ol the facts because he .was the King’s compan ion in the turret; throughout the battle.
