A special Progress Number has .been issued by the Nelson Evening Mail to commemorate the installation of a Iloe votary press. The publication is an excellent production and a review of l the progress of “Sunny Nelson’’ and is profusely illustrated. The Rritish and Foreign Bible Society, is now sending out the Scriptures in 705 languages. The annual report states: “Language No. 700 was the work of a New Zealand kulv t ranslator. The name, of the language is, Alignin’wei. one of the forms of- speech obtaining in the island, of Bail Cristobal in the Solomon Group. Miss C. Watorson, the translator,. hailed from Rangiora, Canterbury. She-has now retired from service and is living in Auckland city.”
