ARAMOHO BURGLARIES

FOUR DURING NIGHT ARREST OF SUSPECT (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. Four burglaries occurred last evening in the Ararnoho area, three on Somme parade and one at a Wanganui East service station, from which about 25s in cash was stolon and also a tyre lever and a hammer. The lever and hammer were found in the Duchess Theatre, where an entrance had been made to a small lock-up shop from which sweets were stolen, the burglar or burglars also having used some implement on the theatre safe but got no cash. The shop of Mr. J. Faith, grocer, was also broken into and a cheque for .£ll and some cash were stolen. At Dunlop’s service station the burglar only secured some, cigarettes, all the casit having been removed before closing time. The polico arrested a young man this morning suspected of committing the burglaries. It is understood that a quantity of stolen property has been recovered.
