No new evidence was given at the inquest at Whakatane into the death of a Maori, Tara Onekawa, who collapsed in the bush when on a pig-hunting expedition in the Matahi district on Sunday last. The evidence of Dr. Appleby went to show that the cause of death was heart failure brought about by exposure and over exertion.
