SOUTHLAND ELECTRICITY
BILL BEFORE HOUSE GUARANTEE OF LOANS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Tn the House of* Representatives tonight the Southland Electric Power Supply Bill was passed. The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, explained that under the bill the Government would guarantee certain loans of the- Southland Electric, Power Board and it also provided that a postal ballot should bo taken in Southland to ascertain whether it was the wish of the ratepayers that the power supply should be taken over by the Government or whether it should remain under the Power Board.
