FARMERS’ OBJECTION WANGANUI OPINIONS (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, last night
The following resolution was carried at a well-attended meeting of the Wanganui provincial executive of the Farmers •’ Union to-day: — “That this meeting of farmers strongly protests against the proposed substantial increase in taxation as set out in the Budget, especially the graduated land tax, and considers the sa.me, if imposed, to be only a further heavy cost against primary production,'which cost has already been considerably increased by recent legislation.’-’ ...
