Bussoil’s sequence of unlucky seconds was broken when. Golden Treasure, having iis first, test at a middle distance, convincingly won the Rosebery Handicap. The mare. Kombln, whose recent racing has been in tho country, led all the way to win the Encourage Welter Handicap. Golden Gate and .Riposte were unplaced in the Flying Welter Handicap. Details of events are : Rosebery Handicap. —Golden Treasure 7.6 (W. Cook), 1 ; Vaahnore 8.3 (Patou), 2; Irving 8.1 (Hickey), 3. Nine started, including, Limoiix. Won by two lengths and a length and a half. Time, 2.84.
Encourage Welter. —Kernhla 8.5 (McGlynn), 1; Scared 7.9 (W . Cook), 2; Burrnndooie 8.9 (McCarten), 3. Twelve started. Won by a length each wav. Time, 1.414.
