W.I. CARD PARTY (Herald Correspondent.) The home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Torrie was the scene of a most enjoyable fivehundred tournament hold in aid of the Waerenga-a-hika Women’s Institute. Some very keen games were played, several people ticing for each prize. The winners were : Ladies.—Mrs. J. SlierI'ilf, 1 ; Miss K. McKenzie, 2. Gcntlenioii. —Mr. J. Nickerson, 1; Mr. J. Ingram, 2. . A delicious supper was provided by the institute members, after which the president expressed thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Torrie for the use of their home. GISBORNE PARK CLUB •Members of the Gisborne Park Goll Club will play a Stableford- bogey match ibis coming week-end in conjunction with the third round of play for the DeCosta and Chrisp cups. The third and final qualifying round ' for the ladies’ championship and handicaps also will be played. PATUTAHI CLUB WEEK-END MATCH (Hevahl Correspondent.) A Stableford bogey match will be played on the Patntahi Golf Club’s links on Saturday, commencing at 1.15 p.m., the draw being made on the ground. Over the week-end a medal round will ho played, the ladies playing 18 holes and the men 27, play commencing at 1C o’clock. This will serve as a qualifying round and the first 16 ladies and the (first 16 men will play olf a mixed foursome handicap two-ball for the President’s Clip.
