PAEROA-POKENA LINE
REQUEST TO MINISTER The advisability of the construction 'ol the Paerca-Pokeno railway line was again discussed at the monthly meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. The following motion was carried for submission to the Minister of~l’ail\vays •‘That before any decision is- made to extend the Taneatua railway line, or to expend further moneys on the duplication of the Auckland-Frankton line, the •Government should be -requested to give careful consideration to the advantage to be attained from the building of the Paeroa-Pokeno line.”
