PIRATES IN RUMANIA
EGYPTIAN SHIP RAIDED

Brandishing daggers and pistols, masked pirates raided the Egyptian freighter Marbo in the Rumanian port of Braili, on the Danube River. Bearing down on their prey in boats with muffled' oars, the pirates climbed aboard and, after binding and gagging the sleeping crew, ransacked the ship. Not content with their rich booty, including valuable carpets and oriental goods, they stripped the crew, leaving them stark naked. Coast guards and , police pursued and fired on the pirates without effect.
