ME ETING OF COMM ITTEE The committee of the League of Mothers held its May meeting at, the home of Mrs. Humphreys, Kaiti esplanade. on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. 1. J. Quigley, who presided over a large attendance, opened the meeting witli the league prayer. The secretary reported on the different, public functions hold in honour ol the visit- of Mrs. P. W. Whyte. Auckland provincial secretary, and also oi a committee social afternoon held at the invitation of Mrs. Tnltersfield at her home in Stout street, lo enable members lo meet the guest. A considerable amount of business was completed, while several matters were discussed and left for further consideration.

Mrs, Humphreys then handed round a dainty afternoon tea. after which Mrs. Quiglcv thanked the hostess lotplacing her home at the disposal.nl tin' committee.
