(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this'day. The weekly wireless news summary from the League of Nations in Geneva, issued by the Prime -Minister’s Department. dated Geneva, May 30. is as follows : “The Secretariat of the League has published a report from the. Italian Government on the itso of dum-dum bullets by the Ethiopian troops. The report contains photographs and many certificates from doctors of having treated wounds by these projectiles. Tlie Italian Government says il possesses revelanl exhibits which can be produced if required.

“The League advisory committee on tin- traffic in opium and other dangerous drugs considered the annual reports ot Governments on. the traffic in these drugs for 1934. The reports, contain statements of legislative and administrative measures used in the different countries for ensuring the supervision of the illicit drug traffic, for controlling international trade, the production of raw materials in countries producing poppy, coco leaf, Indian hemp, and the output of niainilactiircd drugs in 23 countries and territories. The committee examined the question of the relatively high consumption of morphine in certain countries, and proposed that iodine should be used for morphine in certain countries. “The mandates commission began its twenty-ninth session under the chairmanship of Marquis Tlieodoli. It- commenced consideration of the report on the administration of New Guinea for 1935 in the presence of the Australian representative. and will also examine tlie re ports on Palestine. Transjordan, Tanganyika. British mandates ; Syria and Lebanon. French mandates; Nauru, Australian mandate; end South-West Africa, Union of South Africa, mandate. The commission will then consider certain petitions regarding Palestine, Transjordan. Syria. Lebanon, the Caineroons, a French mandate, Tanganyika, and New Guinea.
