LJ It!IILIGHTS of fashion this season , justly deserve the name of “highlights,” as no ensemble is complete without some sparkling ornament or shiny effect as a finish. This glittering look is not confined \to evening wear, for many day-time weaves are run with metal or cellophane threads, while lame is used extensively for trimmings and appears in blouses for wear with tailored costumes or slim-fitting cocktail skirls. Those who prefer a plain and unadorned material for thoir frocks achieve their glitter with accessories.j bracelets, belts, and necklets ot dull gold and silver studded with large coloured stones give an air of distinction to the simplest gown. The rich- j ness oi' the ensembles is given a finishing touch when an evening bag I heavily niched or quilted with gold j and silver threads is added. Gold i sequined bags also add the necessary note of glitter.
