" - BELFAST, Feb. 24. Thomas McLaughlin, a local magistrate, was at Castledcrg (County Tyrone) yesterday committed for trial on a charge of sending defamatory postcards to Mr, J. F. Gamble, a member of the Northern Ireland Parliament. •The postcards, it was alleged, declared that Mr. Gamble was concerned in smuggling cattle from the Irish Free State, while at the same time Co was fining people heavily for the same offence.
