FELL DOWN MINE SHAFT
ESCAPE AT KALGOORLIE PERTH, Nov. 7. Eleanor Tatham, 17 years, of Sutherland street, Kalgoorlie, had a remarkabl; escape from death last night when she fell down a shaft, and was caught by a staging 70ft. from the surface. She w.is admitted to Kalgoorlie Government Hospital. Although no details of her injuries are available, it is understood that her condition is not serious. The shaft is 500 ft. deep.
