BID FOR DANZIG
NAZIS START CAMPAIGN ELECTION PROPAGANDA DANZIG, April 4. _ General Goering has arrived. His presence is providing a spectacular intervention in the election on Sunday, when the Nazis hope to secure'a two? thirds majority in the Legislature, enabling an appeal to the League of Nations to change the constitution. General Goering, addressing mass meetings, urged his hearers to vote for Nazi candidates, and thus enable Danzig to be restored to Germany by proving that Danzig is German, adding: “Remember the Saar Plebissite,” though ho incidentally stated that Germany had no need to occupy Danzig by force, as the natural laws would impose themselves. . Speaking, in the Danzig Senate/Herr Papee, the Polish Minister, strongly protested at General Goering’s presence, adding that the Nazis' election propaganda conflicts with the PolishGerman pact.
