A policy-holder in the Otago Farmers’ Union Mutual Insurance Association, writing to explain delay in forwarding his premium, says: —“I find myself not in a position to forward you the premium this month. An unexpected and totally undesirable visit from a relief tax inspector is the cause of the delay.”
In view of the fact that apples of the Granny Smith variety—a very popular one iri Hawke’s Bay—are mostly large sizes this season, Hawke’s Bay fruit exporters have been advised by the manager of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation that size 88’s will now be accepted for export, the schedule having been revised to include this size.
