THE WEATHER To-day's North Island Report. Blue-skies were reported this 'morning at Auckland, Tauranga, and Napier, but overcast conditions prevailed elsewhere m the North Island. Moderate to fresh j north-westerly breezes were general. -The barometer bad continued the falling movement. Temperatures at 9 o'clock were : Auckland and Napier 69 degrees, fauranga and Fast Cape 66, Opotiki ami Gisborue 67. and Wellington 61.■ Hough seas were reported at Cape Campbell, Wellington. Castlepoint. and Opotiki; elsewhere moderate or smooth. Last Night's Forecast A depression is crossing New Zealand' to-day, while an extensive anticyclone has been moving from Australia on to the Tasinan. Winds southerly in the southern half of the South Island, elsewhere north-wester-ly, southerlius becoming general within the next 10 to It! hours, force moderate to strong, rising to gale ttt places.
