Lyttelton. —Dec. 14: Arrived. Waliine, 6.45 a.in., from Wellington; Canadian Victor. 7.50 a.in., from Dunedin. At. 11.49 a.m. 10-rlpy the fire brigade received a call to the residence, of Mr. 0. T. Bull; 141 Russell street, where a portion of ail outbuilding was ablaze. The building stands well back from, the road and it, was necessary to run out 400 ft. of hose! However, the fire was promptly extinguished before any damage of a serious nature was done. It is thought that a spark from the copper fire, which was used this morning, may possibly have smouldered in the grass during the morning and finally ignited the shed.
