A feature was the line partnership by P. Dow and F. Bennett, City, who had .shored 76 up to the afternoon tea adjournment-, when they were both undefeated, Dow with 66 and Bennett with ■27.; The positions of the teams at 3.30 p.m, were Civil Service.-—First innings, 145. City.—-First innings,' 137 for three wickets (P. Dow'66, not. out; F. Bennett, 27, not out). ' Old Boys.-—First innings, 183, Turanganui.—First innings, 75 for six wickets Wells 14, Hosier 12, Jennings 10, Wilson 8 not Oiit). 'Gisborne Club.—First innings, 105; second innings, 28 for no wickets. Whataupoko.—First innings, 110 (0. J. .Robertson 53, Aislabie 20). Alarist.—First innings, 75. High School.—First innings,' 35 : second innings, 114 for seven wickets (Cedei'wall 29 not out, L. Thomson 36).
