“MAN. OF. ARAN’’ AWARDED MUSSOLINI CUP VENICE, Bept. 18. Robert Flaherty’s film, “Man of Aran,” has been awarded the Musso- ; lino 'Cup for the best foreign film by the Second International, Exhibition of the art of the cinema. ■ The awards arc made in co-opcra-tion with International Educational Film Institute, and the opinions of exports from many countries and the results of a ballot by cinema audiences were taken into account. The gold medal offered by the National Fascist Theatre Association for the best performance by an actor was awarded to Wallace Beery, and the Grand Gold Medal Of the National Fascist Theatre Corporation was awarded to. Miss Katherine Hepburn. This is the first time a British film has won the award, and the achievement is regarded in film circles as being of grout importance to the British film industry,
