The final games in the tournament for the championship of the Gisborne Chess Club resulted in wins for Seddon against both Thompson and Fischbach, and a victory for Thompson over Venning. Seddon and Schlichtiug tie with six points each, and it will be necessary to play each other again to decide the championship; Thompson comes third, with 4) games won; Weatherly fourth, four wins; Venning fifth, three wins; Cleave sixth, two wins; Fischbacli seventh, : and .Meredith, one win. Each player has played seven games.
