REVIVING THE SOUTH ISLAND-MELBOURNE PASSENGER SERVICE.—There were animated scenes at Dunedin and Bluff when tho Union Steam Ship Company's Maheno sailed for Melbourne with a full complement of passengers, marking a revival of the South Island Melbourne passenger service, which was suspended nearly four years ago. The Maheno is seen leaving Port Chalmers last Tuesday, en route for Melbourne, via Bluff, leaving the latter port on Wednesday.
